Hi Sara -- didn't mean to leave you hanging. :) I've been preparing to do my first talk radio show Wednesday and I have speaking engagements coming up the following week, so I've been derelict in my blogging duties. I liked feeling your enthusiasm and I'm glad the post inspired you to dance.

Chris,

As I didn't see a new post, I decided to wander around your site and ended up on this post. I really enjoyed it. One the things that resonated with me is Free movement. I love to dance and that's what I'll do when I need to take a mental break. I don't do any "formal" dancing, but just move to the music. It's wonderfully refreshing and does seem to release stress, which in turn helps let my creativity emerge.

It occurs to me that I haven't done this in awhile...I think it's time for music! Thanks for this post:~)

p.s. I like your write up about coaching. I think you did a good job with it.

[...] 3 Ways To Use Absurdity To Enhance Creativity (This is the third article in a series on cultivating creativity. If you find this article helpful, you may also enjoy Part One and Part Two.) I’ve written a few articles about stimulating your creativity by letting go of the need to be socially acceptable and fit into a conventional social role. Today, I’m going to take that a step further, and talk about how letting yourself think and behave a little absurdly can give you access to inspiration you may have forgotten you possessed.
