Hi Alex -- thanks for your comment and apologies for overlooking it in the spam filter. I'm glad you found the post inspiring -- I think "the reasons are all self-created" is a great way to put the point here.

really like the idea of focusing on the anxiety rather than the reasons. makes you realise the reasons are all self-created. so true that them mind looks for situations or reasons for the reasons, so to speak. old expression "the map is not the territory" - we create our realities in such a way that it reflects our beliefs - especially the limiting ones :)

keep breathing is damn straight. probably one of the most calming things to do. also release ala sedona method.

inspiring post.

Thanks for your comment Steve. I'm glad to hear you were able to transcend your identification with your suffering. It's incredible how significantly we can change our lives when we take responsibility for how we're experiencing the world and stop blaming it on something "out there." Best, Chris

I too notice that I used to look for reasons to suffer versus trying to just notice my own feelings and then looking for solutions. I found that after a while suffering, though I used to Identify with it, becomes old and I wanted to feel good again. That is when I found solutions to improve my life and expand. Financially I'm doing very good despite what is happening "out there" with the economy. Thanks for posting this...

Hi Tom -- thanks for your comment and appreciation. It's amazing to me how much sympathy and understanding we can develop for ourselves once we see that all of our weird habits and ways of holding back are strategies for protecting ourselves.

"Notice where you take pride in being afraid." This is always worth looking at. I ask clients to take a look at the payoff they are getting for remaining within a situation that no longer serves them. It's often twisted but a payoff all the same.

This is an excellent prompt to relax and go within. It's all good.
