I can definitely relate -- I think the most important step in my own personal growth was moving from a sort of cognitive approach to dealing with negative thinking in myself (giving myself reasons why my thoughts weren&#039;t true, and such) to a more body-centered approach of simply noticing how I experience sadness, anger, and so on. I&#039;ve been reading your blog for quite a while now (since your guest post at Urban Monk) and find it very interesting and helpful.  This is one  article (of many) I found particularly illuminating. I&#039;d often read about the benefit of accepting emotions before I read your article, but the way you described focusing on the physical sensations in the body was really helpful in enabling me in putting this into practice. (Though I won&#039;t pretend I always remember in the heat of the moment!)
