Hi Duff -- I haven't read Keeney, although I've read some other work on authentic movement (and seem to improve my own focus by drumming on the table when I'm working). That sounds interesting -- I'll check it out, thanks.

Great reminder of some things I often forget!

Have you heard of Bradford Keeney's work with "autokinetics" and "Shaking Medicine"? Keeney recommends spontaneous, improvised, playful movement as a way to both "recharge" and as a spiritual practice--exactly like you recommend here. I really like his description in the out-of-print book The Energy Break.
